Winter Weather Advisory
Statement as of 2:53 PM CST on January 8, 2009 |
... Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 3 am Friday to 6 am CST Saturday...
The National Weather Service in Chicago has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for 4 to 7 inches of snowfall... which is in effect from 3 am Friday to 6 am CST Saturday.
Significant snowfall move into north central Illinois overnight tonight and persist through Friday and Friday night. Periods of heavier snowfall are expected to occur from predawn Friday into Friday morning... and again from later Friday afternoon through Friday evening.
A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that accumulating snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while driving.
