20 nautical miles including Virginia portion of the Chesapeake Bay
and Currituck Sound...
The remnants of what was Tropical Storm Fay will slowly dissipate
across the mid Atlantic region through Friday. A cold front will
approach the area this weekend...then gradually push through the
area late Saturday through Sunday. The front will then drop south of
Cape Hatteras on Sunday...as high pressure builds across the waters
from the north. The high will remain in place across the region
during the early and middle part of next week.
